RONNIE “SUNSHINE” BASS
T.C. WILLIAMS TITANS - QB

RONNIE “ SUNSHINE” BASS
T.C. WILLIAMS TITANS

Everybody remembers the hair. Watch the block.

Ronnie “Sunshine” Bass is the long-haired lefty from California who starts out holding the clipboard. When Jerry “Rev” Harris goes down, Coach Boone calls on No. 12. Sunshine takes over at quarterback. By the state championship, he’s the starter.

Then comes the reverse. With the title on the line, Rev takes the ball and Sunshine goes out in front to block. Rev gets the touchdown. Run the play back and watch No. 12 clear a lane for the same teammate he’d spent the season filling in for.

That’s the play we wanted to put on a card.

The SUNSHINE 12 jersey pairs scarlet mesh with white stitched block numbers, T.C. WILLIAMS across the chest, and the embroidered TC monogram wrapping over the sleeve seams. The companion trading card puts Sunshine under the stadium lights on the front and gives his title-game block its own highlight on the back.

Next time you watch Remember the Titans, keep your eyes one jersey ahead of the ball.

At unsung ZER0̸$, we give flowers to the overlooked, the underestimated, and the unforgettable. The ones you catch when you run the play back and watch somebody other than the guy with the ball.

Ronnie “Sunshine” Bass showed up with California hair, a left arm that could sling it, and a spot behind Jerry “Rev” Harris on the depth chart. When Rev went down, Sunshine took the snaps. When Rev got the ball with the state title on the line, Sunshine took the block.

Rev crossed the goal line. No. 12 made sure he had a lane.

Forever a Titan. Forever Sunshine.

That’s Ronnie “Sunshine” Bass. That’s an unsung ZER0̸.

NEVER COUNT OUT A ZER0̸.
