Custom Embroidery by Frisco Threadz
San Francisco to Mexico City.
A red crown. Shining gold embroidery.
A story carried across borders.
TWO CITIES. TWO BROTHERS. ONE STORY.
Some places are separated by thousands of miles, yet connected by the people, traditions, and stories that travel between them.
From the ancient pyramids of Teotihuacan to San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge, two worlds meet through a shared appreciation for culture, history, and the places we call home.
Two iconic landmarks. Centuries of history. Thousands of miles apart.
Yet the two lifelong friends behind this collaboration grew up with nothing more than an empty lot separating their childhood homes.
Different backgrounds. Different creative journeys. A brotherhood built just a few steps from home.
Decades later, that friendship would inspire something neither could have imagined as kids.
Two cities. Two brothers. Bonded in gold.
TWO SPIRITS. TWO VISIONS.
From that inspiration emerged two distinct designs, each rooted in ancient Mexican mythology and shaped by our individual creative perspectives. Rich’s Tláloc draws on the power of rain and storms; my Huitzilopochtli-inspired emblem looks to the strength and energy of the sun. Rendered in the same reflective antique-gold embroidery, the two logos carry the double meaning at the heart of this collection: two mythological figures, two creative spirits, and a friendship that gives both visions a place to meet.
TLÁLOC — THE SPIRIT OF RAIN.
Conceptualized by Rich, the first design celebrates Tláloc,
the ancient Mexica deity associated with rain, storms, water, and agricultural fertility.
A figure of immense power, Tláloc embodies nature's duality: the rain that nourishes the earth and the storms that command its respect.
His unmistakable circular eyes and expressive features take centre stage on a vibrant red crown, elevated through dimensional white and reflective antique-gold embroidery.
A bold interpretation of an enduring symbol.
HUITZILOPOCHTLI — THE SPIRIT OF THE SUN.
My counterpart draws inspiration from Huitzilopochtli, the Mexica patron deity associated with the sun and warfare.
In Mexica mythology, his relationship with the sun evokes struggle, strength, and the daily triumph of light over darkness.
Represented through a striking sun-inspired emblem, the second design carries its own colour story and visual identity while sharing the craftsmanship and cultural inspiration of the first.
Two ancient figures. Two creative interpretations.
Two spirits, united by one vision.
STORIES WORTH CARRYING.
Ofaz Alwayz begins with 'ofa — love in Tongan — and a belief that the stories of people and places deserve to live on.
Bestia Negra was born from that same desire to preserve a legacy, honour the past, and give new life to stories that might otherwise be forgotten.
Together, these two creative worlds meet in a collection shaped by heritage, mythology, friendship, and a shared love for storytelling.
Long before these two spirits were stitched in gold, there were two kids with only an empty lot between their homes. That’s where our story began—in the same neighbourhood, years before we had brands or a collection to put our names on. We’ve travelled thousands of miles together since, but this collaboration brings us back to those few steps between our front doors. Two brothers, each helping the other bring a vision to life.
That’s the bond.
The gold gives it something you can see.
